Pierce County Fair celebrates 62nd year at Frontier Park

The Pierce County Association will celebrate the 62nd annual Piece County Fair Thursday through Saturday at Frontier Park in Graham.

The Pierce County Association will celebrate the 62nd annual Piece County Fair Thursday through Saturday at Frontier Park in Graham.

This year’s fair theme is “Have A Wooly Good Time in 2009.”

Once inside the gate, there are plenty of scheduled activities like shows and performances; displays like the floral show, commercial displays, 4-H and FFA competitions, food booths, games and carnival rides.

Also, there’s plenty of live entertainment. Schedule to appear are Jeff Evans, magician; Danny Vernon, Illusion of Elvis; DeLuxe Reverb, classic rock; Cherokee, traditional country; and The Adventures, Ventures tribute band.

Fair hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 15 and $3 for seniors; parking is $5. A $50 fee will be charged for campers.

The fair will offer two specials on Thursday – Family Day and Military Day. Children are admitted free with a paid adult admission and members of the armed forces are admitted free in uniform or upon presentation of their military identification.
