Plenty of eggs are hidden around Bonney Lake and Sumner this weekend and are waiting to be found.

Allan York Park

Three of the egg hunts is at Bonney Lake’s Allen York Park. The park is holding events for three age groups on Friday, April 2 and Saturday, April 3. The teen egg hunt is at 8 p.m. April 2 at ball field number 4. Organizers advise seekers begin lining up at 7:30 p.m. and bring a flashlight, since this a nighttime search.

An adult flashlight search follows at 9:30 p.m. in the same location. Entry is available at the Snack Shack. Participants are advised to begin lining up at 9 p.m.

The “eggstravagance” continues at 11 a.m. Saturday as the children’s egg hunt gets underway. Children ages 1 through 11 may participate and the Easter Bunny will make an appearance. Donations of plastic eggs are accepted at the Bonney Lake City Hall

until April 2. The entry fee is $3 for grades 6 through 12 and $5 for participants 18 and older.

Allan York Park is located at 7203 W. Tapps Highway.

Sunset Chev Stadium

April 3 includes egg hunts for children from age 1 through age 12. The day’s first hunt is at 9 a.m. and is for children ages 1 thorough 3. The next group is children ages 4 through 6 and searches for eggs at 10 a.m. Children ages 7 through 9 at 11 a.m. and children ages 10 through 12 search at noon.

The Sunset Chev hunts are sponsored by the East Pierce Firefighters Local 3520 and the Sumner Parks & Recreation department. Food donations and monetary donations are accepted at the event to benefit the Sumner Food Bank.

East Pierce is also hosting the 53rd annual South Prairie Easter Egg Hunt. The free event starts at 10 a.m. at the South Prairie City Park located at Third and Tacoma Streets.
