Applications sought for Farm Board

Applications are being sought to fill two positions on the Pierce County Farm Board. Deadline is May 1. Applicants must be agricultural producers from the unincorporated rural county.

The Farm Board’s seven citizen members represent the diversity of the agricultural economy, various agricultural operations and the regions of Pierce County. The board works together with appointed county representatives to promote local agriculture and make recommendations to the County Executive and County Council on policies and regulations affecting agriculture. Board volunteers serve four-year terms and meet the fourth Monday evening of each month.
