Stolen tablet recovered: Officers were dispatched to a theft complaint at a residential address on June 9. The reporting party told officers he left his tablet on the front porch while he was doing yard work. As he was working, his cousin and two of his cousin’s friends came over, and after they left, the tablet was gone. Officers ran a records check on the friends of the cousin and found they both had outstanding warrants. Officers located one of the individuals and placed her under arrest, but she denied taking the tablet. Officers used her phone to call the other individual to ask about the tablet. He also denied taking the tablet, but said he was on his way to help officers locate the tablet. The female subject then attempted to bargain with officers by giving them the location of the tablet for letting her go. The female subject’s father then approached officers and retrieved the tablet from the trunk of the subject’s vehicle. The female subject was eventually booked, and the male subject never showed.
Suspended license: Officers observed a driver swerving side to side along state Route 410 on June 10. Officers stopped the vehicle and approached the driver, who said his license was suspended. A warrant check confirmed the driver had a warrant for DUI. The driver was taken into custody and Cascade Towing removed the vehicle.
