State basketball update: Seattle Prep 45, Bonney Lake 39

Despite the 11-point performances of Marcel Pounds and Rani Wiegand, the Bonney Lake girls basketball team took a loss in the opening round of the Class 3A state tournament Wednesday afternoon. The Panthers lost a 45-39 contest to Seattle Prep.

The Panthers tournament continues at 10:30 a.m. Thursday when they face Capital at the Tacoma Dome.
