The city of Sumner and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 37 on Monday hosted its annual Memorial Day ceremony at the Sumner Cemetery. The service featured speeches, a full color guard and a 21-gun salute.

Last week, members of the city prepared the cemetery, placing flags at the stones of all veterans.
