Hit and run turns into a high speed chase

Last Saturday, a hit and run collision turned into a high speed chase.

The hit and run occurred at around 9 a.m. at Farman Street and SR 40.

One driver fled the scene at a high rate of speed, around 100 miles per hour, Sgt. John Buss of the Enumclaw Police Department wrote in a press release.

Officers pursued the driver, who lost control of his vehicle on a highway curve and crashed in a ditch.

The driver and a female passenger were airlifted to Harborview Hospital, and another male passenger taken to a nearby hospital.

The incident is under investigation.
