SUSPENDED: A traffic stop at 11:20 a.m. Sept. 26 on Chinook Avenue resulted in the driver being issued a criminal citation before being released. The vehicle was left legally parked.

NOTHING FOUND: Police learned Sept. 26 that a local roofing business was concerned about a solicitor going door-to-door in the vicinity of Larsen Avenue. An officer responded to the area and found nothing.

NO PROBLEM SEEN: Police were told late Sept. 26 of a vehicle being driven recklessly, at a high rate of speed, in the area of Porter Street and McHugh Avenue. Police located the suspect vehicle and followed it to Buckley; no impairment was seen and there was no reason to stop the vehicle.

CHECKS: Elmont Avenue resident reported Sept. 25 accounts had fraudulently been opened as a result of a stolen Social Security number. An officer determined the victim had already contacted all agencies involved and was to monitor finances and reopen the case if needed.

DISTURBANCE: An employee of a Griffin Avenue business called police at 10 p.m. Sept. 25, reporting a customer who had been removed was now standing outside the business, yelling and using profanity. An officer contacted the individual, issued a trespass letter and advising against returning to the business.

SHOPLIFTING: An officer responded at 6:25 a.m. Sept. 25 to a Roosevelt Avenue address after taking a report of a shoplifting incident. A vehicle was located and suspects were taken into custody and booked.

CONTACT NOT WANTED: A Laukala Place resident called police twice Sept. 24, complaining that a neighbor was texting her continually and the contact was not wanted. An officer determined there was mutual involvement, as the reporting party had been returned texts from the neighbor all day. The officer contacted the suspect and advised that the texting was unwanted.

NOISE COMPLAINT: Police took a complaint about loud music after 11 p.m. Sept. 24. Upon contacting the suspect, an officer determined it was an ongoing dispute between neighbors, with one playing loud music to make a point. The officer advised the suspect  that the music was unreasonably loud and in violation of the city’s noise ordinance. She agreed to turn in down.

BICYCLIST HURT: Police responded the afternoon of Sept. 23 to the vicinity of Griffin Avenue and Railroad Street to assist medical personnel. An accident involving a car and a bicycle has left one person injured. The patient was taken to the hospital in Auburn.

FOUND IN BUCKLEY: A Kibler Avenue resident notified police shortly after 1 a.m. Sept. 23 of a red vehicle with three females aboard. They had been yelling toward the Kibler residence before fleeing south on Cole Street. Buckley police were notified and soon stopped the suspect vehicle. The occupants were advised not to return to the Kibler Avenue area.

VEHICLE PROWL: Police were told the morning of Sept. 23 of a vehicle prowl that occurred during the night. There was no damage to the vehicle but two items were taken.
