Drinking inside Rite Aid, pepper spray incident at a Buckley gas station, and black ice in Black Diamond.

ENUMCLAW

Dec. 20

– Officers spotted two subjects passed out behind the wheel on Harding Street around 9:24 a.m. Both said they would get a ride home.

– Police received multiple reports of an unwanted solicitor on Spring Place around 5:05 p.m. The subject was picked up before officers arrived.

Dec. 21

– Officers were dispatched to Safeway around 3:20 p.m. to check out a possible prowler. Police made contact with the subject, who was the other of the car in question.

– Police received a report of a possible theft at Enumclaw Healthcare and Rehab around 4:03 p.m. Officers could find no evidence of a crime.

– Officers issued a trespass to a Use It Again store customer known for shoplifting around 4:29 p.m.

Dec. 22

– Officers were told of a solicitor on Alpine Place around 12:30 p.m. Police told them to move along

– Police received a report of a subject trying to enter an occupied vehicle on Stevenson Avenue around 6:13 p.m. Officers gave her a ride to a local hotel.

Dec. 23

– Officers were dispatched to Rite Aid to a report of someone drinking and making a scene inside the business around 1:38 p.m. The subject was trespassed.

– Police aided a pregnant woman who fell on Pioneer Street around 2:23 p.m. until EMTs arrived.

– Officers were able to locate a possible impaired driver on Watson Street around 5:56 p.m. They were not impaired, but police encouraged them to leave town.

Dec. 25

– A lost Nintendo Switch was turned into the police department lobby around 12:40 p.m.

– Officers were contacted by St. Elizabeth Hospital around 5:40 p.m. in regard to a self-inflicted gunshot wound on a patient. Police were told by the patient it was an accidental discharge.

Dec. 27

– Police spotted a woman trying to gain entry to a Chinook Ave residence via window around 10:57 a.m. They confirmed the woman lived there and there was no crime.

Dec. 28

– Officers and firefighters responded to a chimney fire on Almadon Street around 1:25 p.m. The family was safe.

– Police were called about someone making a disturbance at Safeway around 1:57 p.m. They paid for their items and was trespassed.

Dec. 29

– Officers received a call from Schmid Street from a subject who said he was on drugs and needed help; he was transported to the hospital.

BUCKLEY

Dec. 19

– A driver was cited for inattentive driving when they fell asleep behind the wheel and crashed on 112th Street around 5:05 p.m.

Dec. 20

– Officers were dispatched to Elk Loop in Carbonado around 12:32 a.m. for a death investigation, and located a dead older woman outside. A detective was called and the body removed by the Pierce County Medical Examiner.

– Police saw a car with expired registration on SR 410 aruind 2 p.m.; after pulling the license plate number, officers also discovered the driver had a suspended license and required to have an ignition interlock device. Police stopped the driver over and arrested him for driving without a license and for not having the ignition interlock device.

Dec. 22

– Officers were dispatched to an assault report on SR 410 at a gas station around 2:51 p.m. On scene, they learned a younger man pepper-sprayed an older man; police were told by witnesses they were both waiting for the same fuel pump when the younger man pulled up first, prompting an argument about who was supposed to go next. Witnesses said the younger man then sprayed the other, pushed him to the ground, and fled the area. Officers later found the man in Bonney Lake and arrested him.

Dec. 23

– Police observed two cars pulled over on SR 410 around 4:25 p.m. They learned the two cars were in a collision, and that the at-fault driver hit the other vehicle’s rear.

BLACK DIAMOND

Dec. 19

– Officers were dispatched to a stolen vehicle recovery on 3rd Avenue around 10:14 a.m. The owner was contacted.

– Police responded to a vehicle collision on Lake Sawyer Road around 8:53 p.m. It was determined the car hit an elk.

Dec. 22

– Officers stopped a speeding vehicle on 3rd Avenue around 2:48 p.m. A short investigation revealed the driver had a revoked license and they were cited.

Dec. 23

– Police were able to aid a motorist in moving their vehicle off the Baker Street/Railroad Avenue intersection around 7:42 a.m.

– Officers assisted multiple people struggling with black ice at the Newcastle Drive/Mckay Lane area around 6 p.m. One motorist’s vehicle slid down the roadway and couldn’t get back up; police helped them attach chains to their tires. Another citizen requested help in crossing the roadway. After these incidents, officers closed the road section.

Dec. 24

– Police responded to a single vehicle collision on SE 218th Place SE around 1:07 p.m. The female driver told officers she was making a turn when her foot slipped and hit the gas, driving her car into a retaining wall, over a flower bed, through a fence, and into a tree, where it finally came to a stop. She was transported to a medical facility and cited for driving with out insurance and expired registration.
