A correction, two trial updates, and a tidbit about a fire on 400th.

CORRECTION: In the article, “Two Buckley residents die in crash on SR 410,” it was misreported that Buckley resident Shaina Ponce struck Kent resident Angela Westwood head on. This is incorrect; Westwood allegedly hit Ponce and Karim Zapana-Trupo, and has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide and one count of reckless driving. The article has been updated.

TRIAL UPDATE: The trial of Enumclaw resident Huy Nguyen, accused of first degree murder, has been rescheduled from Aug. 4 to Oct. 20.

TRIAL UPDATE: The trial of Joseph Hefner, a former Maple Valley daycare employee accused of sexually assaulting two children, has been rescheduled from Aug. 18 to Sept. 2.

HOUSE FIRE: A house on SE 400th St. in Wabash burned down on July 22. According to Mountain View Fire and Rescue, the home, which was under construction, caught fire when a power line came down on a fence. The call came in at 5:22 a.m., and the scene was cleared by 8:30.
