King County Metro’s DART 915 route is now making special trips to the Foothills Trail.
According to the city of Enumclaw, the bus will pick up people coming over from Buckley at SE Mud Mountain Road and will bring them to Enumclaw.
“Across King County, we’re doing everything we can to support the many people impacted by the closure of the White River Bridge,” said Executive Shannon Braddock in a press release. “This extended service between Enumclaw Middle School and the pedestrian-only Foothills Trail Bridge will be a useful link to appointments, family, friends, school, and stores.”
The bus will also stop at the Enumclaw Middle School parking lot to drop people off before continuing its normal route to Auburn.
A full schedule can be found at https://shorturl.at/eHlbq, https://shorturl.at/EeXlG, and below are the schedules for the temporary stops.
Please note that this service will be offered Aug. 29, Sept, 2, and Sept. 3 during commuting hours, and then expanding to all weekday trips from Sept. 4 onward.
“I want to give my sincere thanks to Executive Braddock and everyone at King County Metro for working with my office and providing this desperately needed assistance to our community,” King County Council member Reagan Dunn, who represents Enumclaw on the council, said in a press release. “I will continue to collaborate with county, state and local leaders to find creative solutions and provide relief to affected residents. We must use every tool at our disposal during this trying time.”
