SINGLE EVENTS

Sept. 27

BBQ, Brews, and Brats: The Enumclaw Expo Center’s annual BBQ, Brews, and Brats festival is Sept. 27 and 28, from 11 to 5 p.m. The event features food prepared by some of the best BBQ competitors in the PNW, as well as numerous local breweries and vendors. General admission tickets are $35 and come with three BBQ tokens and three beer tokens; “No beer here” tickets are $20 for three food tokens, and children 5 to 12 get one toekn for $5. NOTE: A shuttle will be picking up people coming across the Foothills Trail bridge at the trailhead starting at noon and running every half hour until the final drop off at 4 p.m.

Oct. 4

Hometown Harvest: Osceola Country Gardens (46620 228th Ave SE, Enumclaw) is hosting its annual Hometown Harvest on Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a u-pick pumpkins, veggies, and flowers area; live music performed by local artists; food, kids activities and crafts; and local vendors sharing their handmade wares. Donations to support this special event and the non-profit Osceola Country Garden mission of promoting farm preservation and environmental stewardship through education, outreach, and community engagement are encouraged. Oct. 10

Witches Night Out: NW Magical Events’ Witches Night Out is likely its most popular bar crawl of the year in Enumclaw. Held on Oct. 10, the event features prize drawings, costume contests, scavenger hunt, shopping, drink and food discounts for attendees. Tickets are $25. Oct. 26

Trick or Treat in Buckley: The Buckley Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Halloween celebration on Oct. 26 from 4 to 6 p.m., where local businesses on Main Street will be handing out candy to boos and ghouls of all ages, rain or shine.

Oct. 31

Trick or Treat in The ‘Claw: Enumclaw’s Cole Street will be shut down from 4 to 6 p.m. for the annual downtown Trick or Treat event, where businesses and vendors will be handing out candy to little ghosts and goblins.

RECURRING EVENTS

Brewskis with a Newsie: Come meet your local journalist on every first Wednesday of each month from 5 to 6 p.m. at The Dusty Shelf (this is a new location). This is an informal event where residents can pitch stories, fact-check articles, and talk shop. For more information, email rstill@courierherald.com or call 360-802-8220.

Square Dancing: The Spinners Square Dance Club lessons start Sept. 9, 7 to 9 p.m., at the Enumclaw VFW. The first two lessons are free.

Scottish Dancing: The Plateau Scottish Country Dancers have resumed Monday night classes and are welcoming new members. Classes are from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Danish Hall (1708 Porter St. Enumclaw). Cost is $5 per person and a partner is not required. Dances are taught according to the skill level of those attending, so beginners are always welcome! Scottish Country Dancing is a centuries-old tradition reflecting the music and culture of Scotland. It’s great exercise and a lot of fun! Come see what we do. Cascade Foothills Chorale: The Cascade Foothills Chorale is starting lessons every Tuesday this fall and winter, 7 to 9 p.m., Sept. 9 to Dec. 20, at Calvary Presbyterian Church (please note that this is a new location from last month). This all leads up to a Dec. 20 concert. No auditions are necessary, and all ages are welcome. Attendance is $50, or $25 for ages 16 to 18. Scholarships are available. Coffee with the Mayor: Enumclaw Mayor Jan Molinaro hosts a Coffee with the Mayor on the first Mondays of the month from 9 to 10 a.m. This is a casual session for citizens to meet with him and discuss issues, concerns, and projects.

TOPS Club meetings: The local Take Pounds Off Sensibly (TOPS) club meets every Thursday morning (8:30 – 9:30 a.m. weigh in, 10 – 11 a.m. meeting) at the Enumclaw Presbyterian Church and Wednesday evening (4 – 5 p.m. weigh in, 5 to 6 p.m. meeting) at the Enumclaw Senior Center Evergreen Room. Pickleball: The Senior Center Pickleball Club meets every Wednesday starting at 10 a.m. at McFarland Park for some good ol’ fashioned pickleball. This is a BYOP (bring your own paddle) event.

Griefshare: The international grief support group will start local meetings on Oct. 11 and run through Jan. 10, 2026. Led by Christine Eide, the group meets weekly with a workbook and videos. The group meets at the Plateau Community Church from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays. For more information and to register 253-797-1723; registration is required.
