Laura Lorraine Howell of Buckley, 61, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025 in University Place, Washington, surrounded by family.
Born on May 23, 1964 in Seattle, Washington. Laura moved with her parents to Enumclaw in 1969 at the age of five. There, she developed a love of riding and barrel racing horses. In her young adulthood she belonged to a jeep club and spent a lot of time jeeping and camping with friends. She enjoyed a good movie or show and taking walks. Most of all, she cherished her grandchildren, who brought her so much joy.
She is survived by her two daughters, Allyse Ross and Jennifer Urpman; her four grandchildren; her brother, Kenneth Stamper and her father, David Stamper. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sheryl Stamper.
Laura will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, great sense of humor and love for her family. Her kindness touched many, and her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
There will be a graveside service at Enumclaw Evergreen Memorial Cemetery on Dec. 5th. At 1:00 PM.
