Christopher “Chris” Palmer

July 15, 1952 – November 9, 2025

Christopher “Chris” Palmer, 73, passed away on November 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with COPD. Born in Auburn, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Mary Brubaker; children Tina (Ty), Christopher, Rachelle (Denny), and Lisa; grandchildren Mikayla, Tristen, Jordan, Preston, Keira, and great-grandson Dayten; siblings Luanna, Shaun, Kathleen, and Whitney; and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, foster parents, and eight siblings.

Chris grew up in Black Diamond and Enumclaw and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. After returning home, he met Mary, the love of his life. Together they built Mary’s Towing from a single truck into a successful 20-truck fleet serving the community he cared deeply for.

Chris was known for his generosity—especially delivering Christmas gifts as “Santa” to children in need—and for the lifelong friendships he valued, including his brother-like bond with Alex Bondar. He enjoyed riding his Goldwing motorcycle, attending Sturgis, playing slots, supporting veterans’ organizations, and cheering on the Mary’s Towing #5 race car at Evergreen Speedway.

In his final days, Chris spoke of God with peace and faith. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
