In 2022 Washington State had a $11-$15 billion surplus. Careful Democrat political maneuvering resulted in a $4.35-plus billion deficit by the 2025-2027 biennium according to the Washington State Standard.

The Dems salivated over an earlier surplus and began their spending spree resulting in a deficit. Unlike citizens who tighten their budget belts to prevent overages, the Dems have now crafted a 9.9% millionaire tax.

They hit the publishing and air media with speeches. Individual interviews included people claiming they were entitled to any money over a million. One multi-millionaire went to a press conference with Gov. Bob and said he’d gladly pay more taxes.

Financially-blessed friend, pull out your checkbook and write a big one for the State of Washington. Pretty simple! Hmmmm! Microsoft, Amazon, and now Starbucks are raising the white flag and moving to greener pastures. And Moody’s this week said the state’s credit rating will soon be lowered as the cost overruns keep growing.

The Republicans attempted to stop the spending as well as the passed tax measure but to no avail. As one smug Demo politician stated in an TV interview with a presser — “Republicans waste their time because the Dems have a significant majority.” — in your faces kiddos!.

Let’s Go Washington filed a petition to pursue a referendum. The fix is in with one-party rule. The WA Supreme Court will have a say as well. Being 100% liberal wanna guess how it will decided?

One party rule has become a dictatorship.
