Carol Alden Lobdell, beloved mother, educator, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026 at the age of 92.
Born in November 1933 in Zillah, Washington. Carol lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and service to others. As a longtime school teacher in Enumclaw, she touched the lives of countless students and families throughout her career. Her patience, wisdom, and commitment to education left a lasting impact on generations of young people.
Beyond the classroom, Carol was known for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and deep connection to her community. She valued family above all else and found great joy in spending time with loved ones, creating lasting memories through the activities she cherished most. She was especially known for her love of horseback riding, boating adventures with family, and the many hours she spent gardening, tending to vegetable garden. Her talents in sewing and knitting were expressions of her creativity and generosity, and family members were often the grateful recipients of her handmade gifts. Whether sharing stories, offering encouragement, or bringing family together through the hobbies she loved, Carol’s presence enriched the lives of those around her.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, husband Herb, as well as her grandchildren, extended family members, friends, former students, and colleagues. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she influenced and the values she instilled in those who knew her.
