Citizens for a Healthy Bay and the city of Buckley have worked with Glacier Middle School students and teachers since last October to put together a stewardship project to clean up garbage and unauthorized campsites in the forest area right across the White River flume.
“We’re celebrating the anniversary of the Supreme Court seeking to allow women in Rotary,” Club President Mike Nelson said.
At the April 18 Bonney Lake City Council workshop, the council members were presented with study results of the proposed rate increases for water and sewer services. The study results were based on single-family residences that use 700 cubic feet (7 centum cubic feet or, 7 ccf) of water or sewer per month, which comes out to 5,236 gallons.
Sara Johnson, who is originally from Enumclaw, was working for a tech company in Seattle when she began juicing and it caught on with her co-workers in a big way.
A public hearing was held on April 12, where opinions were heard on a proposal to change the Sumner School District’s name to “Sumner-Bonney Lake.” Several members of the community attended the hearing and opposition was the theme of the evening.
Artists of all walks of life are invited to Bonney Lake’s quarterly Artist Reception Friday, April 21. The theme is “Bound” and artists and photographers from south Puget Sound will incorporate their work into it – including Glory Cancro, a member of Bonney Lake’s Arts Commission and organizer of the event.
As Bonney Lake’s population grows, so does the need for a new public works center. On April 4, a city council workshop took place to discuss a new development in the still-early stages of building a new public works center. Namely, where it will be located.
