Pierce County Library System will be closed Dec. 24 and 25, to observe Christmas. The libraries will also close at 6 p.m., Dec. 31 and all day Jan. 1, to observe the new year.

Anthony Clarke is the head coach for both the boys and girls wrestling team. Clarke has been coaching wrestling for 17 years and has been the coach at Bonney Lake High School since they opened in 2005.

East Pierce Fire and Rescue responded to the report of a shooting just before 11 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18. The report was called in by a homeowner, who recounted shooting an intruder who entered the home. The incident occurred south of Buckley, between South Prairie and Wilkeson, near Tubbs Road.
