Carpentry and construction on artwork for the Main Street Alley begins today, Friday, at 8 a.m., and continues on Saturday.
In response to the City of Bonney Lake’s opposition to Orton Junction at Pierce County Regional Council, Sumner’s Mayor Dave Enslow has sent a letter to Councilman Mark Hamilton telling him their towns are big enough for the both of them.
The school district will have a deficit projected at $606,558.
The Planning Commission made its recommendation on Orton Junction at its Tuesday meeting.
Councilman Randy Hynek told city council members he would move for an amendment requiring 30 days notice for council members not seeking reelection.
