Dear Mr. Elfers,

I find the name of your column (In Focus) to be quite ironic, as you lose focus all the time. Your latest column is yet another of your bombastic attacks on the President.

You claim the “C” word is important: character. You claim one man has it and the other doesn’t. Thank God we have you for an arbiter. Without you, we have no one to go to in a time of crisis. But more than character is at stake here.

You hate the one man so much you lose “focus”. How about accomplishments? These mean nothing? You only state that you don’t like his manners. What has he done that has made you lose “focus”?

The other man in the race has had 47 years to accomplish his message and has done nothing. That doesn’t sound like character to me. Instead of focusing on how he acts when he is accused of something, how about looking at what he has done in the past four years.

Oh, I’m sorry, that would mean you would have to be “In Focus”. I realize that will never happen.
