Please find a replacement for Mr. Shannon

Don’t listen to anyone who quotes Tucker Carlson.

Dan Shannon may call himself “The Smartest Man in the Room” but he certainly is not. His opinions are straight out of the American oligarch playbook. He quoted Tucker Carlson, among others. I have no respect for anyone who panders to tyrants.

I met Tucker Carlson 40 years ago. I was unimpressed then. Now that’s he’s doing propaganda for Putin, I am appalled.

As to Mr. Elfers, he is sometimes over the top, but he doesn’t tell political lies. Since I agree with some of what he says, I do not find him so objectionable, as some of your readers seem to.

Of all the columns I’ve read in the Courier-Herald, the best one (in my opinion) is Bob Roegner’s. His piece on the short legislative session was a good report and a lesson on the workings of our legislators. What biases leaked through were not objectionable because he tried to be impartial.

I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat. I vote for people I either know personally or those I have researched. I worked for candidates of both parties as everything from envelope-stuffing to campaign managing. I still try to keep up with politics by perusing six or more sources daily. None of these sources are from social media.

Keep up the news and keep the conversation going, but please find someone on the right who will tell the truth.
