Can you hear the sound of summer? Enumclaw concert series announced

Concerts will be held at different parks, and all will start at 6 p.m.

The city of Enumclaw is once again holding a summer concert series, taking music lovers across the city to listen to numerous musicians from July to August.

Every concert is hosted on a Thursday, starting at 6 p.m. and are free to attend.

Here’s a list of who will be playing at what park — and what food will be available.

July 18

The classic county Grit City Band will be kicking off the concert series at Holdener Park on July 18.

“We deliver authentic, foot-stomping performances straight out of the golden age of country,” the band’s website reads, next to a video of couples swing dancing to the bead. “A good mix of old-time classics, and modern classical, the Grit City Band is sure to keep the attention of crowds from every generation.”

Serving fare at the concert will be the Cast Iron Queen (“Down home comfort food”), Ricos Elotes Nathaly (corn and other food), Taquizas Nathaly (tacos), and Asian Crazy (Asian-styled food).

July 25

Performing at Rotary Park on July 25 will be Cody Bartels, an acoustic country singer.

Coming along with him will be Classic Crepes and More, Ricos Elotes Nathaly, Taquizas Nathaly, and Asian Crazy.

Aug. 1

Getting down at Garrett Park will be 5 Mile Drive and its “energetic and eclectic mix of highly danceable, rock, and originals,” according to gigkeeper.com. “… 5 Mile Drive’s appealing diversity delivers a little something for everyone and an entertaining ride for all.”

Grilling at the show will be Pecos Pit BBQ, plus Ricos Elotes Nathaly, Taquizas Nathaly, and Asian Crazy.

Aug. 8

Get folky with The Dirt Angels at Rotary Park on Aug. 8; they’re an acoustic band that focuses on modern folk and Americana music.

Classic Crepes and More, Ricos Elotes Nathaly, Taquizas Nathaly will be there to feed you.

Aug. 15

Rocking out back at Garret Park on Aug. 15 will be the Kevin Jones Band with its “electric/acoustic rock with a touch of world tone… [and] great originals and unusual versions of cover songs,” according to plaincellars.com.

The list of food trucks should sound familiar now, with Classic Crepes, Ricos Elotes Nathaly, Taquizas Nathaly, Asian Crazy, and Pecos Pit BBQ.

Aug. 22

Return to Holdener Park on Aug. 22 to listen to Mid-Nite Bourbon, a PNW-based outlaw blues rock band.

Also returning is Cast Iron Queen, plus Classic Crepes, Ricos Elotes Nathaly, and Taquizas Nathaly.

Aug. 29

Folk singer Amelia Day and The Cloves band will round out the series at Holdner Park on Aug. 29.

Classic Crepes, Cast Iron Queesm, Ricos Elotes Nathaly, and Taquizas Nathaly will be serving food at this last concert as well.
