Last weekend to see ‘The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn’

Mark Twain's story follows Huck, Tom Sawyer and Jim as they navigate life in a satirized Southern antebellum society. Twain's original story was one of the first American novels to be written in familiar slang, and explored themes of entrenched attitudes and racism that flew in the face of all firsthand evidence.

This is the last weekend to see ManeStage Theatre Company’s adaptation of a Mark Twain classic. “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” follows Huck, Tom Sawyer and Jim as they navigate life in a satirized Southern antebellum society. Twain’s original story was one of the first American novels to be written in familiar slang, and explored themes of entrenched attitudes and racism that flew in the face of all firsthand evidence.

The show will play at the Sumner Performing Arts Center tomorrow and Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m.

As always, tickets are $18 general admission, $15 for students and seniors, $10 for children 10 years of age and younger, and children younger than 3 are discouraged from attending.
