OPENING TOMORROW: ManeStage season continues with ‘You Can’t Take it With You’

The play received both a Pulitzer Prize and an Academy Award, and details the humorous encounters between a delightfully eccentric household and a conservative family has delighted audiences for generations.

Sumner’s ManeStage Theatre Company continue its’ fifth season with a performance of “You Can’t Take It With You,” opening May 12.

“You Can’t Take It With You” will be performed by a talented group of experienced, local storytellers. It stars Daisy Nau as Penny Sycamore, Jim Young as Grandpa Vanderhof, Allison Bailey as Alice Sycamore, and Bryce Smith as the Tony Kirby.

“You Can’t Take It With You” opens May 12 at the Sumner Performing Arts Center, 1707 Main Street, Sumner.

Performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. May 12, 18 and 19 and at 2 p.m. May 13, 19, and 20.

The show is directed by ManeStage Theatre Company Executive Director Brenda S. Henson and Resident Acting Coach Jay Henson. The costumers are Judy Brooks and Jodi Josephson.
