Arts Alive! is putting together an Enumclaw Plateau-inspired 2011 calendar with artwork by local artists.
The calendar is scheduled for sale and display during August’s annual Art in the Garden show.
The calendar will be a fundraiser for Arts Alive! Center for the Arts.
Arts Alive! is a nonprofit, volunteer-based organization that has been in existence for more than 26 years. Its sole purpose is to raise money to support grant programs for the visual, performing and literary arts on the Plateau. Arts Alive! has raised and distributed more than $300,000 to schools, artists and art groups through the years. It also offers a gallery and art classes to the community. Art in the Garden and the Arts Alive! dinner and auction are its primary fundraisers.
The group is looking for original artwork by local artists portraying the Enumclaw Plateau – Enumclaw, Buckley, Wilkeson, Carbonado and Cumberland – whether by landscape, still life or three-dimensional.
Twelve pieces of art will be selected by jury process and winners will be notified by May 15.
Images will be cropped if necessary to fit the page allowance dimensions of 10.1 inches by 7.6 inches. Send images larger than 11.5 inches by 15 inches and at 300 dpi to ensure clarity and to avoid pixilation.
Entries should be submitted electronically to info@plateauartsalive.org or placed on a disc mailed to Arts Alive! Gallery – Custom Calendar, P.O. Box 442, Enumclaw, 98022.
The deadline for entries is May 1.
