ATTEMPTED THEFT, WARRANTS AND METH: At 3:36 a.m. Jan. 9, officers were dispatched to a local hotel reporting two suspicious people in its business center.

The hotel’s manager advised dispatch that the suspects were trying to disconnect cords on a computer, leading him to believe they planned to steal it. He described the suspect’s vehicle, but police were unable to locate it as they arrived at the business.

The officers met the manager in the lobby, and he told them the suspects were attempting to sneak out the back door. The manager said he did not want the men, who he described as “scary,” on the premises.

Officers contacted the suspects outside. Routine checks turned up warrants for their arrest.

The manager declined to pursue charges and only wanted them trespassed. All suspects went to jail on their warrants, and one was additionally charged for possession of a controlled substance believed to be methamphetamine.
