An officer responded at 3:55 a.m. Oct. 16 to a Roosevelt Avenue address to take a report about a stolen vehicle. Less than five hours later, the registered owner told police he found his vehicle in the woods near Cumberland and taken it home.

AUTOS RECOVERED: An officer responded at 3:55 a.m. Oct. 16 to a Roosevelt Avenue address to take a report about a stolen vehicle. Less than five hours later, the registered owner told police he found his vehicle in the woods near Cumberland and taken it home. A car stereo was missing but there was no other damage. The afternoon of Oct. 16, a Porter Street resident reported a vehicle had been stolen. It, too, was soon located, but a rear license plate was missing. The vehicle was returned to its owner.

ONE ARRESTED: After hearing of suspicious subjects hanging around a downtown parking lot, police contacted the group. They were asked to move along and agreed to do so except for one female who was found to be wanted on a warrant issued by the state Department of Corrections. She was transported and turned over to a corrections officer in Puyallup. The incident occurred Oct. 16.

OCTOBER 15: There were two calls regarding possible assaults, one from a Cedar Street address and one from Rainier School. Also, there was an animal complaint from the vicinity of Ryan and Sheets roads and a threat report from a C Street address.

OCTOBER 14: Police dealt with an automobile collision on Ryan Road, a fraud report from a River Avenue address, an assault report from Rainier School and two calls regarding unwanted solicitors. That was in addition to assisting the fire department with a Collins Road call and making five traffic stops.
