Black Diamond officers had a busy week

June 12

  • At about 5 a.m., officers saw a person wearing dark clothes, holding a charging cable, and staring at a commercial building in the 2900 block of 216th Ave. Se Police officers attempted to identify the person with no success. Due to a lack of evidence indicating criminal activity had occurred, the person was informed they were free to go.
  • At about 11:40 a.m., a representative from the Black Diamond community center contacted police officers about an incident that occurred on June 8, 2023. An employee had an emotional outburst regarding guidance they received regarding sharing personal information. Community center staff held a meeting regarding the employment of the individual who had an outburst, so they requested that police officers be present in case the individual came to the meeting.
  • An individual made contact with police officers informing them that they had been scammed. The individual believed that they had made a deposit on a rental home, but when they arrived, the residence was fully occupied. The individual gave police officers seven keys and a garage door opener associated with the property, which the owner of the rental property wanted to be destroyed immediately. Police officers took the items and put them in the evidence locker to be destroyed.
  • At about 1:50 p.m., Officers responded to a reported threat and theft. Officers are attempting to identify the involved parties. The investigation is ongoing.
  • At about 8:40 p.m., officers responded to a call requesting to assist the Mount View Fire Department. Officers maintained control of the situation while a medical evaluation was completed and the subject was transported.
  • At about 10:00 p.m., Officers responded to a call about a citizen locked inside a gate. They located the citizen and opened the gate.

June 13

  • At about 12:40 a.m. Officers saw two off-leash dogs running on Fairfax St. Officers contacted the dog’s owners, and they were brought inside.
  • At about 6:35 a.m., officers received a call regarding a verbal threat from a past employee they wanted to handle through the phone. The employee was called by a past employee complaining about his firing in January 2023, citing it was a female employee’s fault, which he did not identify but made an indirect threat towards.
  • At about 7:50 a.m. Police received a call about a theft from a construction site. It was reported that between June 9 and June 12, five breakers were stolen from five houses under construction. There is no suspect of video surveillance.
  • At about 2:50 a.m. Police received a call about a vehicle blocking the roadway. Police called the vehicle owner and had them remove the vehicle.
  • At about 6:22 p.m., officers responded to a reported fraud. The investigation is still ongoing.
  • At about 10:30 p.m. Police responded to a dropped call to 911. They arrived at the residents and determined that the call was accidental

June 14

  • At about 2:10 p.m. Police responded to a report of harassment. At the scene police determined no crime had been committed and informed them how to obtain a protection order.

June 15

  • At about 5:20 a.m. Police booked a person into Enumclaw City Jail for physical control of a vehicle while under the influence.
  • At about 11:10 a.m. Police responded to a call about a person sleeping in their car. They determined that the person got stranded at the location overnight, and no crime had occurred.
  • At about 1:40 p.m. A caller advised police of suspected drug use in a yellow truck that was driving away. Officers conducted an area check and could not locate a suspect.
  • At about 2:20 p.m., Officers responded to a call about copper wire theft from a commercial building.
  • At about 9:00 p.m., officers responded to a call to confirm a no-contact order between two people. Officers arrived and confirmed that the no-contact order was valid.

June 17

  • At about 10:00 p.m., Officers responded to a call of loud music from a residence. In contact with the homeowner, they agreed to lower the music volume.
  • At about 10:40 p.m., officers responded to a crash on State Route 169. They checked the driver for injuries and assisted with scene control until a King County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived to investigate the collision.

June 18

  • At about 4:45 a.m. Police responded to a call about a vehicle parked in a handicapped spot overnight. Officers contacted the owner and learned that a handicap placard was possessed but not displayed correctly.
  • At about 6:20 p.m. Police responded to a call about suspicious subjects around a business, but upon arrival, no subjects were located.
  • At about 8:20 p.m., Officers contacted the subject of an arrest warrant. The individual was then taken into custody, booked, and later released and transported for medical treatment.
