Some strange fishermen and a package thief caught on camera.

May 23

■ Officers were called to 216th Avenue SE around 1:30 p.m. to look for a blue van whose occupant(s) were allegedly trying to sell drugs in the area. Police searched the area but did not find the car.

May 27

■ Police were told by Black Diamond’s Public Works department around 8:30 a.m. that the chain and lock was missing from the gate to Lake Sawyer Regional Park, and that two male subjects were fishing. Officers contacted the men, who said the gate was open when they arrived and did not remove the chain or lock. They left the area.

■ Officers were called to Ash Avenue SE around 1 p.m. to a report of a package stolen off a porch. Police were shown surveillance footage showing the suspect and vehicle.

■ Police investigated a suspicious circumstances call at a 229th Avenue SE residence around 4:30 p.m. It appeared an unknown subject had stolen a trailer from an abandoned home; officers were unable to speak with the victim who could report the trailer as stolen.

May 29

■ Officers were dispatched to find a suspicious vehicle on Lawseon Street around 1:30 a.m. Police contacted the car’s occupants and found no signs of criminal activity having occurred.
