GOING 10 IN A 40: On March 16 officers pulled over a vehicle that had drifted into the left-hand lane at a stoplight on SR 410. When the light turned green, the car did not move for almost ten seconds and when it did, it was going 10 mph in a 40 mph zone. Officers activated their emergency lights but the vehicle kept driving forward, passing several safe stopping places. When the vehicle parked in a parking lot, officers found the driver extremely impaired, handing officers a purple colored envelope as his vehicle registration. After volunteering to go through field sobriety tests, the driver was arrested and booked at Pierce County Jail for DUI.
