The Bonney Lake City Council tabled approving a resolution opposing Initiative 1033 concerning state, county and city revenue at its Oct. 13 meeting.
It was tabled to the Oct. 20 council workshop.
The council approved to accept a $50,000 Phase II Stormwater Pass-Through Grant from the state’s Department of Ecology for the 2010 and 2011 fiscal year.
The purpose of the grant is to assist the city with the implementation of Phase II municipal stormwater National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit. Projects meeting the eligible activities were prioritized and provided as an attachment to this agenda bill.
In other action, the council:
• approved an addition to the bid for the downtown improvement contract with Johansen Excavating, Inc.
• authorized an agreement with Makers Architecture and Urban Design and the Watershed Co. for consultant services for the Shoreline Master Plan Update.
• approved cost share agreements between Qwest and Puget Sound Energy and the city for underground utilities with the Downtown Improvements Project Limits.
• accepted completion of the 82nd Street Court East Sanitary Sewer Improvements contract with Big Mountain Enterprises and chip seal contract with Doolittle Construction.
