DOMESTIC ASSAULT: Officers were called to Park Ave on a domestic violence report shortly after 9 a.m. April 26, when a 40 year-old man assaulted his wife. He was cited for the 4th degree Assault and transported to be booked at Pierce County for committing burglary and assault at another residence on his street.

CAR-ON-DEER COLLISION: At 6:42 p.m. April 27, an officer was dispatched to a single-vehicle collision at the 2100 block of Ryan Road. The driver stated he struck a deer as the deer ran across the road, causing his car to careen into a roadside ditch. The deer was located in a yard with severe injuries and could not walk. It was put out of its misery and the vehicle was towed out of the ditch.

MINOR IN POSSESSION: An officer was dispatched to a reported fight on C Street just before 3 a.m. April 28. Several male subjects on the scene confirmed that another male who had been there was “tripping out.” They claimed he had a knife. The officer found the male with blood on his shirt and he stated he didn’t know who hurt him or where it happened. No one reported themselves as a victim. Medical aid arrived, checked him out and cleared him.

PARANOID: A man contacted an officer in the police station lobby at 3 a.m. April 29, exhibiting extreme paranoia and stating he was scared of unknown subjects that were after him. The officer decided the man was under the influence of drugs, but did not have cause for an arrest. The subject allowed the officer to search him; two large machetes and two knives were found on his person. He contacted a friend and he was transported to his friend’s home.
