SCHOOL TROUBLE: Police were asked April 28 to make contact with six juveniles from another school who arrived at Enumclaw Middle School. The incident was handled by the EMS principal and the juveniles were released to parents.

LOOKING FOR HELP: Police were told April 28 the back side of a Roosevelt Avenue store appears to be the frequent site of nighttime drug and alcohol use, according to remnants left behind. The manager encouraged officers to check the area and enforce violations.

UNWANTED: A McKean Court resident called police the evening of April 28, reporting an ex-boyfriend was banging on her door and demanding to be let inside. The subject was gone when police arrived. The caller was told how to obtain a no-contact order.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: Police heard April 28 that a GPS device and medication had been stolen from a vehicle parked at a Garrett Street address.

WELFARE CHECK: Police were asked April 28 to check on the welfare of children whose mother is dating a registered sex offender. Police responded with the Department of Corrections to a Semanski Street address where the man was taken into custody by DOC for probation violations. The children appeared to be fine.

INTOXICATED: Police received multiple reports the evening of April 27 regarding a recklessly-driven vehicle. Police made a stop and arrested the motorist for driving while intoxicated. The vehicle was impounded.

HARASSMENT: A father notified police April 26, reporting his daughter was a victim of harassment. An officer contacted a third party and advised him to stop calling and texting.

STOLEN PLATES: Police were notified the morning of April 26 of a Honda Accord that had been parked for days in the vicinity of Garfield Street. An officer determined the license plates had been stolen in Tacoma. The plates were confiscated and the vehicle was impounded. The owner of the stolen plates asked that they be destroyed, as he had already replaced them.

OBSTRUCTING: Police arrested a subject April 25 on an outstanding warrant issued by the state Department of Corrections and added a charge of obstructing a public servant.

DOMESTIC TROUBLE: Police responded the morning of April 24 to a Leo Place address after hearing of a fight between a father and son. The son had departed by the time police arrived. It was determined to be verbal only and the issue was settled upon police contact.

SHOPLIFTER: A Monroe Avenue business contacted police at 1:40 a.m. April 23 regarding someone who was shoplifting by drinking wine in the men’s bathroom. Management did not wish to press charges and the suspect was released at a bus stop.
