BUCKLEY POLICE BLOTTER

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT: At 8:05 p.m. Aug. 31, an officer was dispatched to the section of state Route 410 at Park Avenue regarding a vehicle collision. The officer noted some damage to one car and paint damage to the other. He issued a notice of infraction to the driver at fault and both were driven from the scene.

DUI: At 2:45 a.m. Sept. 1, an officer observed a vehicle travel over the fog line and center line of the road in the 28500 block of SR 410. The driver continued to make the mistake, so the officer activated his lights and pulled over the vehicle. He was determined to be driving under the influence and placed under arrest. The registered owner was contacted and removed the vehicle.

DISORDERLY: At 7:36 p.m. Sept. 2, officers were dispatched to a Main Street address for a reported fight between several people. Upon arrival, three men – 53, 26 and 23 – were contacted and it was determined that no assault had occurred. The 53-year-old man was treated on location for injuries sustained from a fall and then taken into custody for disorderly conduct. The 23-year-old was apprehended on a confirmed arrest warrant.

DRIVER SEARCH: At 4:59 p.m. Sept. 3, an officer was dispatched to assist Enumclaw police in finding a possible impaired driver that had fled the scene of a collision. The Buckley officer located the described vehicle on SR 410 at Main Street, where he pulled it over. The 43-year-old driver was detained and eventually taken into custody by Washington State Patrol for hit and run, driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license.

BAD MEDICINE: At 6:02 p.m. Sept. 5, an officer was dispatched to East Mason Avenue to deal with a possibly out-of-control subject. The officer made contact with a man from Buckley. After talking to the man and his relatives, it was decided he would go to the hospital to have his medication checked. The man was transported Good Samaritan for evaluation.
