DON’T KEEP ON TRUCKING: At 8 a.m. June 21, an officer on patrol stopped a commercial vehicle for a traffic violation on state Route 410 at Park Avenue. The vehicle required a commercial driver’s license, which the driver did not have. The driver was cited and the vehicle was placed out of service until the driver could obtain the proper license.

ACCIDENT: At 2 p.m. June 22, an officer responded to a three-car accident with no injuries. The officer issued an infraction to the responsible driver for following too close and having no insurance.

POSSESSION: A 27-year-old man from Tacoma was stopped for a traffic violation on SR 410 at Balm Avenue just before midnight. He was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was arrested, issued the necessary paperwork and released on scene.

POSSIBLE THEFT: A Church Street business owner called in an officer to file an information report on a possible theft at 2 p.m. June 23. The owner stated he was missing about $50 from his cash register and suspected a new employee of taking it. He did not want to pursue criminal charges against the female employee.

TOO MANY SUBSTANCES: At 2:12 a.m. June 25, an officer stopped a speeding vehicle on SR 410 at the lower cemetery road. The driver was placed under arrest for DUI, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and his vehicle was towed.

ILLEGAL CARRY: Shortly after 9 p.m. June 25, a 46-year-old Buckley man was stopped at the 28100 block of SR 410 for speeding. During the stop, he was found to be carrying a loaded firearm in his vehicle without a permit. He was arrested, issued a citation and infraction and released on location.

TRUCK MISREPRESENTATION: An officer investigating a collision near the cemetery June 26 noticed inconsistencies in paperwork provided by the driver of a commercial motor vehicle. Further investigation revealed the license plates had been issued to a different truck. The insurance and proof of tonnage had also been issued to the other truck. The driver was issued an infraction for the violations.
