An officer stopped shortly before 8 a.m. May 15 to help a citizen catch a chicken that was running loose.

WHY CROSS THE ROAD?: An officer stopped shortly before 8 a.m. May 15 to help a citizen catch a chicken that was running loose in the road. The incident was near Garrett Street and Griffin Avenue.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: Officers responded to a Natalie Place address the morning of May 15 after taking a report of a possible attempted burglary by a known suspect. A check of the area did not yield a suspect. The reporting party would not cooperate and provide information, so no further action was taken. A second occupant of the residence was known to be wanted on an Enumclaw Municipal Court warrant and was arrested.

IN CUSTODY: Police were advised May 15 to search for a suspicious male in the vicinity of Natalie Place. Contact was made with a man wanted on warrants issued by the Federal Way Police Department. The man was detained, then turned over to a Washington State Patrol trooper for transport to meet with Federal Way authorities.

BURGLARY IN PROGRESS: City police were called the evening of May 15 to assist King County deputies with a reported burglary in progress at a location on Southeast 416th Street. Officers responded and offered assistance.
