On Sept. 16 officers were flagged down by a passing motorist who told them he saw a man leaving a store with a cart full of merchandise, but none of it was bagged.

CAR BREAK-IN: Officers were contacted on Sept. 15 regarding a vehicle break in at a local medical facility. The reporting party, who did not own the car, told officers he noticed the damage and cleaned up glass from the broken driver’s side window. Officers attempted to contact the registered owner of the car but could not.

SHOPLIFT: On Sept. 16 officers were flagged down by a passing motorist who told them he saw a man leaving a store with a cart full of merchandise, but none of it was bagged. With a description of the male subject, officers quickly located him. When officers approached the subject, he ran and officers pursued, given help by a random driver in a parked car who pointed officers in the right direction. Officers caught up to the subject and placed him under arrest. The subject admitted he stole the items in the shopping cart and was transported to the Enumclaw jail.
