Officers responded to a SR 410 store regarding theft from a cell phone tower. When officers arrived and spoke with an employee, he told them it appeared someone had cut through the chain link fence and damaged the cell phone processing system.

November 10

Suspicious Male: Officers responded to the report of a suspicious male walking through a state Route 410 restaurant parking lot. The reporting party told officers she noticed the subject riding a bike through the parking lot around the score for several hours prior to closing. She told officers she noticed he walked into the Washington State University forest. Officers conducted an area check and were unable to find the subject.

November 9

Vandalism: Officers responded to a SR 410 store regarding theft from a cell phone tower. When officers arrived and spoke with an employee, he told them it appeared someone had cut through the chain link fence and damaged the cell phone processing system. He was unsure of the value of the processor but told officers his guess is that it would be more than $5000. At the time of this report, there was nothing further.

Fraud: Officers responded to a SR 410 store to the report of a fraud in progress. The store’s loss prevention agent told officers she had seen a repeat offender in the store trying to return an item that he had just selected off the shelf. The suspect told officers he needed money for his girlfriend so he used an old receipt and selected an item on it to return it. Officers escorted him out of the store and released him. The officers have forwarded this to the prosecutor’s office for consideration of burglary charges.

Found Vehicle: On a routine patrol, officers saw an abandoned vehicle parked along the side of the road. A records check showed it had been stolen out of Milton. Officers contacted the registered owner and his wife came to recover the vehicle. This report was written for information purposes only and no further action was taken.
