ARREST ASSIST: City officers responded the evening of March 19 to a Lincoln Avenue address to assist state Department of Corrections staff with an arrest. One person was taken into custody and booked into the Enumclaw jail.

PEDESTRIAN PROBLEM: Police took a report at 8:25 a.m. March 19 of a woman walking near Semanski Street and Warner Avenue, yelling and throwing things as passing vehicles. Due to her unsteady gait, it was suspected she was intoxicated. Police contacted one person, who denied any such activity.

INTO CUSTODY: A city officer assisted a bail bond agent March 18 with taking a wanted subject into custody. The process was handled without incident.

CITIZEN ASSIST: Police were dispatched at 6:42 a.m. March 18 to a Johnson Street address where an infant was locked inside a running vehicle. A tow company was dispatched and the mother and child were united.

HANDGUN TAKEN: Police took a report the morning of March 18 regarding the theft of a handgun from a vehicle parked at an Olie Ann Place address. The vehicle was reported locked but there was no damage done.

DISTURBANCE: A clerk at a Monroe Avenue store advised police March 18 of two men involved in a disturbance in the lobby. Police contacted one of the men, who said the other man had shoved him through the doors. He did not wish to pursue charges, but asked that the suspect, if contacted, be advised to leave him alone. Police were unable to locate the suspect.

BIKE HEIST: Two bicycles were reported stolen from the side of a residence on Mountain Villa Drive. They were taken between March 15 and March 18.

ATTEMPT TO LOCATE: The King County Sheriff’s Office advised local police the morning of March 17 of a robbery that occurred earlier in Black Diamond. Police were asked to watch for a man driving a black Pontiac Firebird.

UNWANTED SUBJECT: A woman called police at 10:44 p.m. March 17, advising of a man she did not want on the premises. The man agreed to leave, despite the fact his name was on the apartment lease agreement. It was determined to be a civil issue, not requiring police involvement.

VEHICLE IMPOUNDED: A traffic stop at 2:12 a.m. March 16 resulted in a man being arrested for not possessing a valid operator’s license. He was cited and released while his vehicle was impounded.

RECKLESS DRIVING: A Washington State Patrol trooper notified city police the afternoon of March 16, stating he had a reckless driver in custody. An officer responded and took the driver into custody for driving under the influence; his vehicle was impounded.

OUTSTANDING WARRANT: A traffic stop shortly before 10 p.m. March 16 in the vicinity of Roosevelt Avenue turned up a driver who was wanted on a Bonney Lake warrant for theft. He was arrested and taken to the police station for booking; his vehicle was released to a female passenger.
