Clare awarded scholarship to continue studies at WWU

Western Washington University student Kelci Lyn Clare, daughter of Mike Clare of Enumclaw and Marci Clare of Bonney Lake, has accepted the $1,800 Florine A. Wheeler Scholarship for the 2012-13 academic year.

Western Washington University student Kelci Lyn Clare, daughter of Mike Clare of Enumclaw and Marci Clare of Bonney Lake, has accepted the $1,800 Florine A. Wheeler Scholarship for the 2012-13 academic year.

The scholarship is awarded to a student who preferably has chosen elementary education as a major and has demonstrated the academic ability to excel in elementary education.

Clare graduated from Enumclaw High School in 2008. She holds a 3.48 GPA. Her goal is to teach either in an upper elementary classroom or science in middle school.
