BLOCKING THE DRIVEWAY: Officers were called March 31 about an abandoned car blocking a driveway. Officers were unable to locate a phone number for the owner of the car. The car was towed so the reporting party could get out of their driveway. The vehicle was also ticketed.

CPS CALLED: Officers were dispatched to a local restaurant March 31 to a report of child abuse. The reporting party told officers a woman had shaken the car seat her child was sitting in at the table while the child cried. A second witnessed corroborated the story. CPS was called and advised officers they’ve received similar reports in the past about the woman and recommended the child to be placed in protective custody. Forms were given to the woman and the case forwarded for follow up.
