Dickson gives back | Letter to the Editor

I have known Darrel Dickson for better than 35 years. I first came became familiar with him when he took second and third place as a state wrestling champion representing Enumclaw High School in 1977 and 1978. He and his family have long been advocates of supporting and preserving Enumclaw's unique and prosperous heritage. Darrel has a desire to follow in his father, Paul Dickson's, footsteps. Paul Dickson, a longtime Enumclaw pharmacist, owned and operated MD Pharmacy and was a long running sponsor of a number of community events, including the annual "Turkey Trot." Darrel is currently a mentor and scout leader in the Boy Scouts of America Troop 302, meeting one or more times a week with the youth in his troop. His suburban is often seen hauling soggy youth, tents and gear home after an outing that was sponsored in spite of in-climate weather.

Darrel is a dedicated husband to his wife Enumclaw Dr. Holly Dickson and father to his six ambitious children. He is a great advocate of those things that keep our children safe and provide an environment where they can learn, prosper, and grow -youth programs, law enforcement, and educational sponsorship.

Darrel is a self-made successful business man. He has successfully started and managed a number of profitable businesses. He can negotiate a viable contract, balance a budget and get the citizens of Enumclaw their moneys worth.

Darrel is not a polished political entity – refreshing! This has not always made him a fan of the career politicians. He is not attempting to support himself via this position. He just wishes to promote and give back to the great community in which he grew up and wishes to raise his children.
