Now that stomachs are stuffed and Thanksgiving is over, the Old Cannery Furniture Warehouse will ring in the winter holiday season with its annual Bridge Lighting and fireworks show.

Every year, residents from Sumner and its surrounding communities gather at the unnamed bridge dividing Main Street from Valley Avenue East and watch as the steel framework is illuminated by thousands of Christmas lights. Music plays and a fireworks show fills the sky with beautiful explosions.

The bridge lighting happens tonight at 5 p.m., but the event is popular and people are encouraged to come early.
