A self-reported arsonist called in a false alarm and other local crime news

ENUMCLAW

July 28:

• At about 1:16 p.m., a hit and run was reported.

• At about 9:32 p.m., a bike was reported stolen. The reporting party provided aiding video footage from the neighbor.

• At about 9:32 p.m., there was a report of fireworks consistently discharging. An officer in the area responded to the residents and advised them of the city ordinance.

July 29:

• At about 1:48 p.m., officers witnessed a fight in progress. No charges were pressed.

• At about 10:17 p.m., on Osceola St., there was a report of loud music. An officer arrived at the scene, and residents agreed to lower the music volume.

• At about 10:15 p.m., on Florence St and Kibler Ave, there was a report of loud music. On arrival an officer arrived at the scene and could not hear loud music and cleared the scene.

• At about 10:51 p.m., During a traffic stop, an individual was stopped and found to be driving while license suspected. Cited and released.

July 31:

• At about 12:49 a.m., there was a report of people yelling at each other. The suspects were gone upon arrival.

• At about 2:28 a.m., there was a report of fireworks discharging at a local park. The suspects were gone upon arrival.

• At about 2:44 a.m., On Carbon Ridge st there was a report of shots fired, but officers could not locate the source.

• At about 3:19 a.m., On McKean Ct, there was a report of shots fired, but officers could not locate the source.

• At about 2:09 p.m., there was a report of a hit and run.

• At about 8:58 p.m., there was a report of individuals riding dirtbikes at Holdener Park. Upon inspection, officers could not locate individuals or find any damage.

• At about 6:42 p.m., there was a report that a car was burglarized.

Aug. 1

• At about 8:01 a.m., a caller said they had started fires. The report was forwarded to Enumclaw Fire Department.

• At about 9:02 p.m., there was a report of a suspicious individual was their bike and stopping at random driveways. Upon investigation, officers did not locate a subject.

Aug. 2

• At about 6:47 p.m., there was a report of a vehicle prowl in which a window was broken. The officer responded and made an incident report. During an inspection of the first vehicle, a second vehicle was found with a broken window.

• At about 8:39 a.m., An individual came into the police department’s lobby and reported that their purse was stolen from their vehicle the night before.

• At about 1:18 p.m., Someone came into the lobby to report that they had lent their firearm to someone, and it was still not returned. Reporting individual left before an officer responded.

• At about 11:19 p.m., there was a report of a suspicious person standing next to a building. Per the officer, “Not a crime to stand next to building.”

Aug. 3

• At about 8:37 a.m., A dog was running loose. The owner was contacted, and the dog was returned.

BUCKLEY

Aug. 7

• At about 4:45 p.m., a stolen truck was recovered.

Aug. 8

• At about 6:31 p.m., Officers performed a traffic stop on a 1990 Ford F250. The truck had an expired registration, and the plates on the truck did not belong to it. The driver was also cited for having no valid driver’s license. The truck was impounded.

• At about 10:58 p.m., a 19-year-old was stopped for following too closely to a vehicle. Upon contact, officers found many alcoholic beverage cans empty in the vehicle, alongside one can, which was full. The 19-year-old was arrested for minor in possession.

Aug. 10

• At about 4:51 a.m., An officer responded to a call regarding an unoccupied Dodge Ram pickup truck. The truck was determined stolen and was impounded.
