Enumclaw man involved in three-car crash near Auburn

No drugs or alcohol are suspected to have been involved at this time.

An Enumclaw man was involved in a three car crash yesterday afternoon that closed I-5 for nearly eight hours.

No one was killed in the crash, but three Auburn residents — including two kids — were sent to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital.

According to a Washington State Patrol press release, all three vehicles were traveling north on I-5 around 3 p.m. when vehicle two, with the Auburn residents, slowed down for traffic. Vehicle one, driven by a male from Tijuana, Mexico, did not slow down and struck vehicle two; this pushed vehicle two into vehicle three and the Enumclaw resident, who was uninjured.

Charges against the driver of vehicle one are pending, but police do not suspect impaired driving at this time.

All three cars were reported totaled.
