Enumclaw police reports Aug. 20-23

DOMESTIC: Police were told Aug. 23 of a domestic violence situation that occurred at a Lowell Avenue address. A suspect was arrested and booked for assault, malicious mischief and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence.

FAMILY ISSUE: A grandmother called police Aug. 23, reporting she was at her home with a newborn baby and an unwanted man was attempting to enter the house. the man was gone when officers arrived. He was located and arrested for malicious mischief.

STAY OUT: Police were told Aug. 23 several subjects had jumped the fence around a retention pond in the vicinity of Riggs Drive, despite “no trespassing” signs posted by the city. All were gone when police arrived.

PASSENGER CHARGED: During an Aug. 23 traffic stop, a passenger was known to be the subject of a felony arrest warrant. He was taken into custody on the warrant and, additionally, an Enumclaw charge for possession of marijuana.

911 HANGUP: The 911 system received a “hang up” call at approximately 2 a.m. Aug. 23 from a Roosevelt Avenue address. Upon calling back, a store employee said there was a problem with a customer. Officers responded, the situation was handled and merchandise was paid for.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: A citizen reported Aug. 23 items had been stolen from a vehicle while it was parked at the head of the Foothills Trail. Damage was done to one of the vehicle’s windows.

PHONE, MEDS GONE: A Farrelly Street resident reported Aug. 23 a phone and medications had been taken from the home.

WEAPON INVOLVED: Buckley police requested assistance at 6 a.m. Aug. 22 with a domestic violence situation that had turned physical and involved a firearm. Black Diamond authorities also responded. A suspect was taken into custody.

DISTURBANCE: At 9:45 p.m. Aug. 22, police heard from a Larsen Avenue resident who reported hearing what sounded like a fight, complete with foul language and items breaking. Police responded and determined the subjects involved in the disturbance, with the exception of the resident, were gone. One person was arrested for possession of both marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

JUMP FROM VEHICLE: Police responded at 11:40 p.m. Aug. 22 to the vicinity of Roosevelt Avenue and Blake Street after a man jumped from a moving vehicle. Medical personnel also responded and the patient was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center.

PARAPHERNALIA: A citizen arrived at the police station lobby Aug. 21, reporting he had found drug paraphernalia in his vehicle after his son had used it. The items were taken and destroyed.

VEHICLE PROWLS: A Farrelly Street resident reported Aug. 20 a vehicle prowl in which a stereo was taken from a boat and an amplified was taken from a truck. A Wynalda Drive resident reported Aug. 21 that items were taken from a vehicle during the night; the loss was estimated at $720.

SHOPLIFTING: Police were told Aug. 20 of the theft of boxes of Power Bars and Pop Tarts from a Monroe Avenue business.

TWO CHARGES: A traffic stop at 9:39 p.m. Aug. 20 resulted in the driver being cited for driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia. His motorcycle was impounded.
