TODDLER REUNITED: A toddler was seen wandering around a Warner Avenue parking lot the afternoon of June 29, so a resident took the child to her apartment and called 911. A city officer checked several apartments in the area with no result. Just as Child Protective Services was about to be called, the toddler’s father called 911. Father and child were reunited.

NO JAIL SPACE: An officer conducted a  traffic stop the afternoon of June 29, turning up a suspect who was wanted on a misdemeanor warrant issued by Bonney Lake. The Enumclaw jail was full and Bonney Lake indicated the Puyallup jail also was filled, so the subject was advised of the warrant but not arrested.

SUSPICIOUS: A Garland Place resident told police at 5:36 a.m. June 29 a man had come to his door, holding a knife and asking the resident if he had lost the weapon. The resident did not involve in conversation and the man departed. An officer contacted the man and took the knife, then contacted the resident.

FIREWORKS: Police took a report at 10:10 p.m. June 28 of several juveniles lighting fireworks in the vicinity of Wells Street and Adams Avenue. An officer responded and the issue was settled.

CYCLE THEFT: A city resident told police June 27 an automobile had been stolen two days earlier. A check of the state system showed the vehicle had been impounded in Fife.

EX WON’T GO: A man visited the police station June 27, reporting his ex-wife was at his Lafromboise Street home and did not want to leave. Contact was made and she departed.
