Fees waived this week at national parks

If you are looking for something fun to do with family and friends, head out to Mt. Rainier National Park, one of America's national parks where millions of stars light up the dark night sky, deer, elk and mountain goats (and a few other critters!) play in the snow, and geology is an unbelievable experience, not an exam.

This week is a presidentially proclaimed celebration of our national heritage. If you are looking for something fun to do with family and friends, head out to Mt. Rainier National Park, one of America’s national parks where millions of stars light up the dark night sky, deer, elk and mountain goats (and a few other critters!) play in the snow, and geology is an unbelievable experience, not an exam.

Take advantage of the free entrance to the park this week and experience it for yourself.

Check out NationalParkWeek.org There you can share your national park photos, videos, and tips. While you’re on that site, learn all about the ways you can help support your national parks all year round. To support your local Washington parks go to wnpf.org
