Former Enumclaw School District psychologist Aaron Myers recently pleaded guilty to possessing Child Sexual Abuse Material.
The Bonney Lake resident was arrested in December 2020, and shortly after resigned from his position at Black Diamond Elementary and Sunrise Elementary.
He was officially charged with four counts of first degree possession of CSAM in February 2021. He pled not guilty a month later.
According to the official charging statement, Myers, 48, admitted to officers that he “downloaded, viewed and deleted sexually explicit images of children”; More than 2,500 images and 230 videos of child porn were allegedly found on Myers’ various devices, several of which involved not just minors, but toddlers and infants.
None of the images or videos were of local children, ESD officials said.
Myers pleaded guilty July 10 to two counts of first degree CSAM possession as part of a plea deal to drop the other two charges.
Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 25; prosecutors are recommending 34 months incarceration and another 68 months of community custody, as well as a $2,000 fine and various other charges.
