Hiding under clothes: An officer on routine patrol saw a female at a Safeway who he recognized from a previous encounter. When he made eye contact with the female, she turned around back into the store with another female. The officer waited until the two exited the store. They both eventually got in a car, but the officer noticed that only one female remained visible in the car. The officer followed them and initiated a traffic stop. The officer observed a large lump of clothes in the shape of a human body. He asked the driver if the female suspect was in the back. When the officer looked at the pile of clothes he noticed it appeared to be moving up and down as if someone was breathing under it. He announced his presence to the suspect in the back, but she did not respond at first. After several more times, she exited the car and the officer took her into custody due to a confirmed warrant.

Keeping the car safe: On June 20, an officer was driving in a Walmart parking lot for an unrelated call when he saw a suspected vehicle from a vehicle prowl that happened on June 16. There was a man standing next to the car that matched the the description given by a suspect. When asked for ID, the male said he wasn’t driving the car and did not have to give the officer his ID. The officer detained the male for investigation, which is when the male identified himself. He claimed the car belonged to his girlfriend’s son and that he had nothing to do with the prowl.
